Yoga Instruction

“Yoga is the art work of awareness on the canvas of body, mind, and soul.”
― Amit Ray
Lisa began her yoga journey in 2001 in New York, where she discovered the transformative power of a dedicated vinyasa practice. After receiving her 200-hour certification in 2007, she delved into a dedicated Ashtanga practice in New York, San Francisco, and in Marseille at Yama Yoga. In Paris, she studied vinyasa with renowned teacher Gerard Arnaud for four years.

Today, Lisa teaches slow vinyasa—a mindful approach rooted in Ashtanga tradition, with sun salutations and warrior sequences that honor the body’s natural rhythm. She also guides students through restorative yin practices and occasionally sets the flow to music.

What makes Lisa’s classes distinctive is her integration of dharma and life wisdom into movement. Her teaching invites students into a meditative, contemplative space where they can explore that sweet spot between effort and ease, between energy and over-striving. With careful attention to alignment and an emphasis on mindfulness, students discover not just physical strength, but inner balance—nourishing both body and mind in a practice that extends far beyond the mat.

Mindfulness meditation is an invitation to slow down. With each breath, we set down the weight of our thoughts — the worries, the stories, the endless noise of a mind that's always running elsewhere. Simply by observing, without judgment, we create space. The mind grows still. The layers of tension dissolve.

And it's in this silence, in this clarity that gradually emerges, that something fresh becomes possible. Sometimes it's an understanding that arrives without effort. Sometimes it's simply peace. But always, there is a rediscovery of who we are beyond all this noise.
