Yoga Instruction

“Yoga is the art work of awareness on the canvas of body, mind, and soul.”
― Amit Ray
Lisa began her yoga journey in 2001 in New York, where she discovered the transformative power of a dedicated vinyasa practice. After receiving her 200-hour certification in 2007, she delved into a dedicated Ashtanga practice in New York, San Francisco, and in Marseille at Yama Yoga. In Paris, she studied vinyasa with renowned teacher Gerard Arnaud for four years.

Today, Lisa teaches slow vinyasa—a mindful approach rooted in Ashtanga tradition, with sun salutations and warrior sequences that honor the body’s natural rhythm. She also guides students through restorative yin practices and occasionally sets the flow to music.

What makes Lisa’s classes distinctive is her integration of dharma and life wisdom into movement. Her teaching invites students into a meditative, contemplative space where they can explore that sweet spot between effort and ease, between energy and over-striving. With careful attention to alignment and an emphasis on mindfulness, students discover not just physical strength, but inner balance—nourishing both body and mind in a practice that extends far beyond the mat.

Women in Buddhism

February 2026 in English, online

This 5 week class is based on a teaching originally given by Catherine Pawasarat Sensei and later shaped into a self-paced online course. Together, we will explore the material over four weeks, combining individual viewing with shared reflection to contemplate and discuss how the teachings relate to our lived experience.

What makes this course especially rich is the way it weaves Buddhist insight with multicultural and transgender perspectives. Through personal stories and clear examples, the teachings invite us to recognize and gently move beyond cultural and familial conditioning, and to reflect on the evolving role of women and marginalized voices in spiritual life.
